Located on Elemental Farms in Chino Valley, Arizona, Freeman Farms is dedicated to breeding naturally talented American Saddlebred and Friesian Horses.  Freeman Farms strictly adheres to the breeding standards set forth by the Friesian Horse Association of North America (FHANA) and Het Friesch Paarden Stamboek (FPS).  Both American Saddlebred & Friesian foals are imprinted in accordance with methods described by Robert Miller D.V.M. in his book “Imprint Training.”  Youngsters destined for the show ring are provided additional sensitization and desensitization exercises to facilitate their growth into confident, eager performers.  All are raised in social groups in pastures enclosed by no-climb fence and learn their first lessons on the trail.

Freeman Farms stands top American Saddlebred sire Winsdown Black Gold and Apollo Sail'n Round the Moon.  Prospects for sale.  Please contact Norm Freeman or Lynne Trenery at (520) 850-3990 for more information.

Elemental Farms is an educational and research facility developed to promote sustainable agriculture in Arizona.  Elemental Farms utilizes the latest in computer control systems to responsibly irrigate crops and has demonstrated that underground drip is a viable method for production of high quality grass hay in northern Arizona.  Rich back flush water is used to irrigate the pumpkin and corn crops.  The NRCS evaluated our systems and will now EQUIP growers in our area for implementation of similar highly efficient systems.  No tax dollars or EQUIP money was used to fund systems at Elemental Farms.

Visitors to Elemental /Freeman Farms during our Pumpkin Festival in the month of October enjoy educational hay rides (see photo top right, Norm Freeman driving 'Candy') and learn more about our farming projects.  Other activities during the Pumpkin Festival include livestock demonstrations, pony rides, a petting zoo, a corn maze, concessions and, of course, choosing farm fresh pumpkins!  2007 visitors enjoyed a special presentation of American History- Told Through Breeds of Horses (see photo bottom right, Lynne Trenery narrating while on 'Frouwe fan 'e Boskraane').  Mark your calendar for Freeman Farm's 2008 Pumpkin Festival- every weekend in October ...  check back for updates.
